Accessibility

Chaperones

All patients are entitled to request a chaperone during any consultation or procedure. We have members of staff who have been trained to provide this service for patients. If you would prefer a chaperone then please ask your clinician before any procedure goes ahead or at reception when you book or arrive for your appointment.

Hearing loop

We have a hearing loop for patients who would like assistance with their hearing during a consultation. If you require this service then please let our reception staff know in advance so that they can make sure the hearing loop is available.

Access without steps

All consulting rooms are situated on the ground floor.

Wheelchair users

The practice has a purpose-built disabled toilet. There is a bell outside the main entrance for any wheelchair or mobility scooter user who may need assistance. All internal doors are sufficiently wide to allow access for wheelchairs, however we regret that mobility scooters must be left outside for health and safety reasons. Our own wheelchairs are available for use within the surgery on request.

Baby changing

The practice has baby changing facilities available.

Written communication

If any patient has difficulty reading our written communications, please let our reception know so that we can discuss alternatives.

Language services

Please let our reception staff know, in advance, if you need a translation service to help manage your consultation with a clinician at the practice. It will help us if you let us know in advance when you book your appointment so that we can arrange an interpreter in good time.

Parking

The practice shares a car park with Flitwick Health Clinic. This includes 4 disabled parking spaces. Please do not park on the lane in to the car park or on the path and grass verges.
