Appointment Information

You can request an appointment with a doctor or clinician by calling the practice directly from 08:00 onwards. We mainly run a book on the day service for GP and Minor Illness Nurse appointments. You receive a call back on the day from a clinician.

Our patient services team will ask you some questions regarding the nature of your problem and what advice you have sought and what over the counter medication you have tried before contacting the surgery. They have been asked to do this by our GPs and clinicians so they can book patients into the correct appointments.

If our Clinicians believe you need to be seen then a follow up face to face appointment will be offered.

If our Clinicians consider that your problem needs follow up then they will organise any necessary tests and arrange for another appointment if required, once these investigations have been carried out.

If you have more than one problem to discuss then our clinicians may not have time at one appointment to deal with all of these and may ask you to make another appointment.

If you have an enquiry about a new or current medical issue and are not sure if you need an appointment or who it would be best to see then you can use the ask the clinician a question form. Your request will be assessed and assigned to the best person to help you with your concern.

To keep the phone lines free for the on the day bookings first thing in the morning, we will take calls for all other bookings and general enquiries from 09:30. If you are calling for blood test results then can we ask that you call in the afternoon or call online process. For test result requests, please visit our Test Results page.
