Update – Coronavirus Vaccination Programme – 26 February 2021

We are inviting patients in wave 6 for a covid-19 vaccination, which is those aged 16 to 64 years with underlying health conditions.

For this group of patients there is a change in the booking process to help meet government targets.

Where previously patients were advised to book using the national booking system, Flitwick Surgery will now be sending text messages or calling patients in this wave 6 group.  The text message will allow patients to book directly in to the Rufus Centre Vaccine Hub, Steppingley Road, Flitwick.

We kindly ask that you do not call the Surgery to check if you have a qualifying underlying condition or when you are going to receive an invitation to book your vaccination.    For advice on priority groups and the relevant underlying conditions please use this link to an NHS/Government website that explains this.

Another good source is the Green Book, Chapter 14a, which lists the underlying conditions that qualify to be included in Wave 6.

Patients who are receiving invites due to their age group can also book using the national booking system by calling 119 or online at https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/  This will give the option to book in to any of the local vaccination centres.
