Booking your covid-19 vaccinations – update 19 April 2021

Booking your covid-19 vaccinations – update
From 19th April 2021 the Practice is kindly asking patients to book their first and second vaccinations via the National Booking Service (NBS).  To do this please call 119 or go online to https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

The Rufus Vaccine Centre is making appointments available by this system but during April their priority will be to deliver 2nd vaccinations. Those wanting a first vaccination locally may need to consider travelling further afield.

The eligible cohorts who can book a covid-19 vaccination are listed on the NHS UK website at:

https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/

Please note that as of 19th April (when we posted this message) patients aged 45 years or over on or before 30 March 2021 are eligible to book due to their age group.

If you find you are not able to use the National Booking Service then do contact the Surgery and we will try and assist you.

Please try NOT to call us if you find that the vaccination centre of your choice is not listed as available on the NBS. If a vaccination centre is not listed then it is because they do not have appointments at that time.  We would advise that you either keep rechecking the NBS or book a vaccination elsewhere.
