Covid-19 Vaccination – updated 15 January 2021

There has been a change to the Covid-19 vaccination booking system, thus meaning that Practices will not be contacting patients directly to book the COVID vaccinations appointments.

You will receive a letter from the National Booking Service inviting you to make an appointment with guidelines on how to book your appointment. Patients will be contacted in order of national priority as laid out at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus-vaccine

Currently, there is a choice of venues, however the local hub for Oliver Street Surgery, Cranfield and Marston Surgery and Flitwick Surgery is located at Rufus Centre Vaccine Hub, The Rufus Centre, Steppingley Road, Flitwick, Beds, MK45 1AH

This local hub is now taking bookings and intends to start appointments from 21 January 2021.

To book your vaccination, visit: www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination

If you cannot use the NHS website, phone 119 free of charge.

The phone line is open into the evening and you may choose to ring later in the afternoon or early evening when it is less busy.

When you book, you will need the following: your name, date of birth and your NHS number.

Please make sure you give your mobile phone or email address in case they need to contact you to change your appointment.

You should book as soon as possible.

If you have received your first vaccination dose, or you have made an appointment already, please ignore this notice.

If you are totally housebound and unable to travel to a vaccination hub, please ring the surgery directly. You will be added to the waiting list for a home visit. Unfortunately we are unable to give a timeframe on when these will be done.
